thoughts of the day

two things spring to mind today. one , SUPER SPURS!!!! what a good result in such a bad place.lets hope this is the start of a beautiful thing lol.
secondly, im in the process of moving back to england from canada, newfoundland to be exact. now not many people outside of canada have heard of newfoundland but, let me tell you , its a beautiful place to live. I have enjoyed my 5 years here, but im now ready to move home. Mainly because newfoundland whilst beautiful to live in, is a really bad place to work in. Here its not what you know, its who you know. And if thats not the case, then you are either a doctor , lawyer or fisherman. because in reality thats all that is here for employment. Now , yes , i am bitter with my former employers , who fired me , for fraud, but tell me how can you commit fraud in a videostore, and more so , why would you have me arrested and charged and now facing possible prison, when the guys who are actually stealing from the store , get away with it everytime, because the security equipment is outdated and cant be used in a court of law, unless your an employee, when you are told , dont try to stop the thief, but then you get in trouble for not trying to stop them. double standards people!!stop trying to catch employees who are getting you more business and concentrate on the thieves and actually spend some money. and to all the thieves out there, you are scum and deserve to get cancer of the balls(mainly because ive never seen a female shoplifter in ...... well i wont say where but lets say the rabbit and hamster are turning over in their graves).ok venting is done for the day lol. but anyways back to what i was saying. so because of the who you know and not what you know, i have been turned down some many times i feel like a bed in the delta hotel, so now im taking the wife and baby, and we are moving back home , where talent is appreciated. by the way , the babys name is jessica and she is 5 months old and she is the most beautiful and cutest baby alive. so, with just two days left before we fly out friday nite its now panic stations. Have we packed everything, nope! have we sorted out how our stuff is getting to england , nope !!do i know where i can get tim hortons in the uk, yes!! see the important things are done lol so i am here now sat on our bed in the mother in laws basement, thinking to myself , damn i cant wait to get home.back to a place where cod tongues and seal arent considered food. to a place where pork pies, stella artois, wkd blue and angel delight rule supreme(well at least in my mind they do).
I have to say though, the thing im going to miss the most, is the people.yeah, across canada, newfies are the butt of many jokes, but, if you ever need help, whether your family friend or stranger(see sept 11 01 when planes got diverted here and people offered up their beds to passengers) or if you want the best laugh you will have, then newfie land is the place to be. i have made many friends here, and i go with many great memorys, like falling through the ice on a ice fishing trip, oh what fun lol, and all i can say is thank you, thank you for everything!!
